Helder Cruz has a 5 year degree in Applied Chemistry, branch of Biotechnology, an MBA in International Businesses and a PhD in Biotechnology. His large scientific experience from international research projects (e.g. GBF-Germany, MIT-USA) includes a Post-doc in the GLP lab of IBET. Currently, he is CEO of ECBio and expert consultant for the biopharmaceutical industry (US, EU and PT), for the EC and for the Biosensors Lab. at ITQB/IBET.

Pedro Cruz, PhD , MBA

Pedro Cruz has a 5 year degree in Chemical Engeneering, branch of Biotechnology, an MBA in International Businesses, and a PhD in Biotechnology. Has large scientific experience gained through the participation in international research projects, including various periods abroad (Novartis-Switzerland, Innogenetics-Belgium, GBF-Germany, Penn State U.-USA). Currently, he is managing partner of ECBio, Invited Professor at the Universidade Atlāntica in Oeiras, and Advisor at the Animal Cell Technology Laboratory of ITQB-IBET in Oeiras.

Miguel Santos, PhD, PMP

Miguel Santos has a BsC and a MsC degree in Biochemistry, a PhD in Molecular Biology, a Pos-Doc in Genomics, and PMP experience. During his career Miguel has managed and led several scientific projects both in academic and industry settings (ODU-USA; ITQB/UNL-PT; UA-PT; STAB VIDA, Ltd-PT; MWG, Gmb-GR; EC-BE). Presently, he heads the Project & IP Office at ECBio, S.A., being responsible for strategically directing project development towards creation of marketable technology.
